Most people are familiar with drunk drivers causing auto accidents on our highways, but on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, an Alabama man was arrested for drunk driving through the yards of many Alabama residents.
According to reports, the man was driving drunk when he attempted to pass another car. In the process, he hit a mailbox at the side of the road. The mailbox owner saw this reckless driving and got into his own vehicle to follow the drunk driver and get his license plate number.
Being pursued by the second driver, the drunk driver drove through several front and back yards in the neighborhood, destroying fences and lawns. The pursuer then used his vehicle to stop the drunk driver by hitting his passenger side door and pinning his car against the treeline.
