Last night, Alabama Highway 193 became the setting for a local tragedy. Mobile resident Christopher Holderfield was pronounced dead at the scene when emergency workers arrived at the place where his pickup truck left the highway and rolled over.

Holderfield was not wearing his seatbelt when his Dodge Dakota became the latest example of the dangers of truck and SUV rollover accidents in Alabama. Police are still investigating the cause of this crash just north of Alabama Port on Mon Luis Island in southeastern Mobile County, and there are still plenty of unanswered questions about this car accident.

The sympathies of all the personal injury attorneys of Long & Long go out to Mr. Holderfield’s family this evening. We know all too well the pain of those who have lost a loved one in a car accident from our work representing Alabama families of fatal car crash victims in wrongful death lawsuits. It’s always a tragedy to lose a loved one, which is why we put our years of legal experience to work holding negligent drivers accountable for the pain they cause to Alabama families.

The car accident attorneys of Long & Long hope that this tragedy reminds all our Mobile neighbors that Alabama highways can be dangerous. Please drive safely and cautiously, and wear your seatbelt every time you get in your car.
