Unknowing movie-goers sat awaiting their film to begin when Volx Wagon ran this very pointed ad. Utilizing a location-based broadcaster that allowed them to tap into every cell phone in the theater, each person received a text at the same time that the driver in the film crashed into some trees on the side of the road.

The video, shot from the perspective of the driver, placed the movie-goers in the driver’s seat and allowed them to see that glancing at your phone for even a split-second may end up causing an accident.

Distracted driving has become a severe problem for drivers, causing an estimated 421,000 injuries in 2012. With distracted driving becoming such a serious issue, many states have issued laws making talking on the phone, even a hands-free connection, illegal. Nearly all states have outlawed texting while driving as well.

If a distracted driver was the cause for an accident you were involved in, you may have recourse to file a lawsuit for their negligence. Please contact our Mobile, Alabama car accident lawyers to determine how we can help you. You can call us at (251) 432-2277.
