In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Target has recalled approximately 600,000 children’s pajamas and sleepers that violate federal flammability standards and pose a burn risk to children. If your child was injured by one of the dangerous products detailed below or other defective product, the Mobile, Alabama, product liability attorneys at Long & Long may be able to help you hold the responsible parties accountable for their negligence and recover the financial compensation you need for medical costs and other damages.
Target launched a voluntary recall of 42,000 Circo girls’ fleece blanket sleepers in Purple Owl, Pink Leopard and Blue Doodle because the sleepers failed to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear and pose a fire and burn hazard to children. A complete list of the impacted identification numbers can be found on the CPSC Target Circo girls’ fleece blanket sleepers recall page. The Circo girls’ fleece blanket sleepers were sold at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com between August 2012 and October 2012 for about $13. Target has also recalled about 560,000 two-piece children’s pajama sets made by Makalot Garments because the pajamas do not meet federal flammability standards and sizing requirements, and pose a fire and burn hazard to children. For a complete list of models, please see the CPSC Target Makalot children’s pajamas recall page.
The affected children’s pajamas were sold at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com between August 2012 and November 2012. Consumers with any of the products detailed here should stop using them immediately and return them to Target for a refund.
