“What is a Jones Act case? A Jones Act case typically applies to offshore oil workers, fishermen, shrimpers, shipping personnel–anyone who was injured in an offshore accident on a vessel in navigable waters. The Jones Act was enacted by the United States Congress in the early 1800’s. It’s very favorable for folks who were injured offshore, whether it be on an oil rig, shrimp boat, fishing boat, scuba diving–any type of accident offshore. If you think you have a case, please give me a call. I’ll be happy to evaluate for free and tell you whether you have a case. I’m Attorney Earle Long. Please give me a call at 251-432-4878.”
